Practice Areas

Personal Injury - Auto Accidents

Unfortunately, car accidents commonly result in life-changing physical, emotional, and financial consequences. You can be left with enormous medical bills, which may even continue to pile up if you are unable to work as a result of your injuries. Dealing with the insurance company can be just as overwhelming since they will look for any way to deny liability and pay the least amount of money in settlement. The last thing you should have to worry about in this situation is how to navigate the legal system.

Our team of highly trained professionals are dedicated to fight for your rights until we obtain the maximum compensation you deserve. We are highly experienced in assisting clients in all types of auto accidents, including Truck Accidents, Pedestrian Accidents, Motorcycle Accidents, Bicycle Accidents, Rideshare Accidents, Drunk Driving Accidents, Car Accidents Resulting in Catastrophic Injuries or Wrongful Death, Accidents Caused by Mechanical Malfunction, Defective Road Design, or Road Hazards.

Personal Injury - Dog Bite Accidents

Dogs are beloved companions, but unfortunately, if not properly trained or restrained, can sometimes bite, which can result in severe injuries, including scarring and disfigurement. Aside from these injuries, dog bites often cause severe emotional trauma that has an everlasting effect.

A dog owners’ insurance company, such as a homeowner’s or renter’s policy, may be liable to pay for your injuries. In some situations, dog owners can be held strictly liable even if they were not aware of their dog’s dangerous propensities or it’s the first time the dog has attacked. With this in mind, the insurance company will look for any way to dispute liability and pay the least amount of money in settlement. It is important that you consult with an attorney who understands the legal nuances to ensure that you receive the maximum compensation that you deserve. Nozar Law is highly experienced in handling dog bite cases. Our team of highly trained professionals are dedicated to fight for your rights until we obtain the maximum compensation you deserve.

Personal Injury - Slips and Falls

California law mandates that business and property owners maintain safe conditions on their premises. If they fail to adhere to this duty, they can be held accountable for injuries someone sustains. One of the most common accidents is slips and falls, which in some situations can result in severe bodily injury.

Our team of highly trained professionals are dedicated to fight for your rights until we obtain the maximum compensation you deserve. We are highly experienced in assisting clients in all types of slip and falls cases, including wet floors, uneven pavement, unmarked steps, and loose railings.

Employment - Wage and Hour Violations

You work hard for your money and you should be compensated accordingly. In the instance that your employer fails to pay you what you are owed, it is a huge financial setback. Fortunately, California has enacted comprehensive wage and hour laws that may entitle you to compensation if employers commit a violation.

Our team of highly trained professionals are dedicated to fight for your rights until we obtain the maximum compensation you deserve. We are highly experienced in assisting clients in all types of wage and hour violations, including, failing to pay wages, failing to pay overtime, failing to pay owed commissions, failing to provide complete wage statements, failing to pay wages timely, and failing to provide meal or rest breaks.

Employment - Wrongful Terminations

Workplace discrimination laws prohibits employers from disfavoring or mistreating employees based on a protected class, such as an employee’s race, national origin, religion, age, disability, race, pregnancy status, gender, and sexual orientation. If an employer takes negative action based on a discriminatory reason, the employee may have a right to seek compensation.

Terminating an employee is only one example of discrimination. While it is often times obvious, discrimination can sometimes be more subtle.  Some examples of negative treatment of an employee are:

  • Denying a promotion based on the employee’s race, national origin, religion, age, disability, race, pregnancy status, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Demotion or reassignment of hours or pay based on the employee’s race, national origin, religion, age, disability, race, pregnancy status, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Forcing a resignation based on the employee’s race, national origin, religion, age, disability, race, pregnancy status, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Declining to make an offer for employment based on the employee’s race, national origin, religion, age, disability, race, pregnancy status, gender, or sexual orientation.

Nozar Law is highly experienced in handling workplace discrimination cases. Our team of highly trained professionals are dedicated to fight for your rights until we obtain the maximum compensation you deserve.

Construction

Disputes commonly arise during construction projects. These disputes can range from overpayment of construction work to disputes involving defective work. Often times, construction defects are latent in nature and may not be easily observable right away. Instead, the defects may only become observable months, or in some cases, years, after the construction is completed. The defects can involve building components, such as doors, windows, roofs, waterproofing, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, structural, and fire protection systems. These issues can result in significant damage to the structure, such as water intrusion and soil subsidence. You are then left in the situation that you will have to pay significant money out of your own pocket to repair the defective work when the work should have been performed correctly in the first place.

Nozar Law has extensive experience in representing homeowners, property owners, developers, and common interest developments in construction defect disputes. We are extremely knowledgeable in the pre-litigation procedures mandated in Civil Code Sections 895, et seq., commonly referred to as the “Right to Repair Act” or “SB800”. We utilize our experience and team of expert consultants to obtain a settlement through the pre-litigation procedure. If we are unable to obtain a fair settlement, we will take your case to court, and if necessary, to trial. If you have a construction issue, do not wait any longer. When dispute arises, it is important to have a legal professional on your side who understands the complex legal issues to aid in a dispute resolution in hopes of avoiding lengthy litigation. Should litigation be initiated, it is important to have an attorney who understands the complex world of real estate so that your best interests are protected.
